The Duke of Cumberland Whitstable

The Duke of Cumberland is a historic pub and boutique hotel located in the heart of Whitstable, Kent, at the top of the High Street. Established in 1867, it has recently undergone an extensive transformation, retaining its unique character while introducing a stylish look and feel.

Kent Catering Service (KCS) successfully transformed and relocated the kitchen at the Duke of Cumberland, working on behalf of Shepherd Neame, Britain’s oldest brewer. KCS collaborated closely with builders and other trades to ensure a seamless installation. The project involved modernizing the kitchen while preserving the pub’s historic charm, enhancing efficiency, and meeting high catering standards. Despite the complexities of working within a historic building, KCS delivered a high-quality kitchen that supports the pub’s renowned food service.
